I recently had the pleasure of staying at Vila Guiomar - Casa Da Eira in Alvarenga, and I can confidently say it's a hidden gem for families seeking a relaxing getaway. The hospitality here is unparalleled; our host was kind and patient, making us feel right at home, despite the language barrier. The spacious grounds are perfect for young children, with a seasonal outdoor pool and ample space to run around, plus table tennis for a bit of fun! The communal areas, including a lovely shared lounge with amazing views, offer a fantastic space for families or friends to bond over meals. The simple breakfast provided was quite satisfying, featuring fresh bread rolls and good jams. Being within walking distance of the stunning Arouca 516 Bridge was the cherry on top of our stay.
